• Post- Operative information following tooth colored fillings
  • The white filling we placed is completely hard when you walk out of the office eat and drink as soon as you please.
  • Cold sensitivity can occur and last for up to 8 weeks. This symptom should gradually decrease with time.
  • Hot Sensitivity is rare but can occur which may last a few days.
  • Chewing/ biting sensitivity may last up to 8 weeks, but gradually decrease with time.
  • If your bite feels high please call the office, we might need to adjust it. This is very common as the numbness wears off you can feel the difference more clearly.
  • The sight where the injection was given can be sore for up to a week as well as the gums. Warm saltwater rinses can be helpful. (6 ounces of water and 1 tablespoon of water.)

 gradually decrease with time.

  • If a temporary crown placed:
    • Flossing daily to help keeping the gums healthy is very important when cementing the crown on.
    • You will be given a packet of temporary cement, follow instructions on package if your temp comes off. Please call the office if any questions arise.
