Meet Dr. Connor

Dr. Connor grew up in a small town in Iowa, and always knew that he wanted a career that would allow him to help people and have a positive impact on his community. Dr. Connor graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Connor then went on to complete his dental training at the University of Iowa School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree. During his time in dental school, he realized that he loved the technical skill required for endodontics, and the ability to save teeth and get patients out of severe pain.

In order to achieve his dream of becoming an endodontist, Dr. Connor decided to gain further experience by completing a year-long general practice residency program at the Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in Denver, Colorado. After Denver, Dr. Connor moved to Birmingham, Alabama to complete his 2-year specialist training in endodontics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. He also completed research looking at the ability of a known resistant endodontic pathogen, E. faecalis, to grow in different intracanal medicaments used in endodontics. Dr. Connor then passed the written board exam in endodontics, which is the first step to becoming board certified. Dr. Connor is currently a member of the American Association of Endodontics and the American Dental Association.

In his free time, Dr. Connor enjoys watching movies, kickboxing, weightlifting and going on hikes with his wife Ashley and their dog Coco.
