Dr. Harvey leads the team at Don Harvey Dental. He is a member of a select group of dentists who specialize in dental makeovers. Today’s makeovers require special technology, equipment, materials and, most importantly, a dentist with additional training in the field supported by many years of practicing the fine art of cosmetic dentistry.
A 1992 graduate of The Medical College of Georgia with a Dental Medicine Doctorate, Dr. Harvey continually furthers his expertise with expansive post-doctoral education. Each year, he studies at the prestigious Pankey Institute, an advanced dental learning facility that is based on relationship dentistry. The facility emphasizes comprehensive evaluation and excellent patient care while encouraging dentists to lead a balanced life through their work, recreation, family and faith. Dr. Harvey also completes hundreds of hours of continuing education each year to support his mission of educating patients on how superior dental care can improve their overall wellness. He is a member of the American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry and exemplifies responsible patient care.
In addition to his extensive education, Dr. Harvey pursues excellence with an artistic flare. His father is a pediatrician, so he grew up in a medical family. Dr. Harvey’s background means understands the importance of patient education and making them feel as comfortable as possible. He takes the time to share his knowledge with his patients and strives to create dazzling, natural smiles for each of them.
Dr. Harvey and his wife Marcia live in Alpharetta and have three children: Brittany, Jake and Luke. They are an active family and enjoy the outdoors, baseball, skiing and many other activities. Dr. Harvey is very passionate about his life and brings that same enthusiasm to his practice every day. You can be confident that you will be treated like family when you visit the office.
Dr. Sunny Choy is a graduate of the New York University College of Dentistry and the Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to entering private practice, she completed a one-year general practice residency program at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, where she treated emergency dental and facial trauma cases and took additional training in oral surgery, endodontics and prosthodontics. Dr. Choy has a particular practice emphasis in aesthetic dental procedures, including smile makeovers, teeth whitening, dental bonding and placement of porcelain veneers. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, and the Northern District Dental Society. In her leisure, Dr. Choy enjoys taking dance classes and weekend runs along the Chattahoochee River.
Tami was born in South Carolina and attended the Medical College of Georgia. She graduated valedictorian of her class and summa cum laude in 1991 with a bachelor of science degree specializing in dental hygiene. Tami is a registered dental hygienist who performs adult and pediatric hygienic cleanings as well as scaling and root planning procedures with attention to the special needs of cosmetic dental materials. She also has expertise in the latest teeth whitening techniques, periodontal and soft tissue management, home care education and preventive tooth and gum care.
Believing that a healthy smile is the strongest foundation for a beautiful smile, she will make your periodontal care her utmost priority. She will customize your cleaning to properly care for your specific periodontal needs. Whether you need a six-month cleaning, periodontal maintenance or full periodontal therapy, Tami will always strive to provide great treatment while maintaining your absolute comfort.
Veronica is excited to have joined Dr. Harvey’s team in August 2008. She has been a registered dental hygienist since 1995 and worked in practices that specialize in world class dentistry. She was inspired to work with Dr. Harvey because of his vast knowledge of occlusal (bite) therapy and how it pertains to one’s overall health.
Her specialty is in periodontal therapy, which is the treatment of all stages of gum disease. Through continuing education, Veronica stays abreast of the latest advancements in dental hygiene. Her personal mission is to provide excellent care for all our patients and to educate them on how they can improve their overall health.
In addition to practicing dental hygiene, she is married and the mother of two wonderful children. She is also a certified yoga teacher and is passionate about overall wellness. She is always eager to meet new patients and provide them with the best care possible.
Tori began her career in dentistry in 1974 as a dental assistant in Cincinnati, Ohio. Throughout her career, she has been graced with only high-caliber dental offices. In 1984, Tori had the opportunity to work as a dental assistant in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the royal family. Her learning experience grew far beyond her expectations. Upon her return to the US in 1987, Tori landed in Atlanta and worked for a dental practice for 19 years. Her positions lead her into the administrative end of the practice. Presently, Tori is involved in a dental facilitation study group that helps her stay abreast of the ongoing changes in dentistry. She has always considered herself a life learner and enjoys dentistry today more than ever!
Little facts about Tori: she is married to her husband Shannon. They have four beautiful grandchildren, and Shannon has two lovely daughters and sons-in-law. She loves yoga and spending time with family. Once again, she feels she has been graced knowing the quality of care that Dr. Harvey and his team provide!
